A futuristic ice cream truck company brings you dessert

A few years ago I was at a 50th birthday party on the Jersey Shore.

The party was great, we grilled steaks, ate prawns, roasted vegetables and of course ended the evening with drinks and a birthday cake.

At some point in the evening, a Snow Cone truck showed up in the driveway and parked there for about twenty minutes while everyone had an ice cold refreshment.

I don’t know who thought that was cooler; children or adults who had a little too much.

What I liked about the Snow Cone traction truck is exactly that; it pulls up to where you are.

We didn’t have to search for money or chase a truck down the street.

What if ice cream trucks took this approach?

What if an ice cream truck told you where it was going and when, and even gave you the option to pre-order your dessert.

And if in addition, they offered a full menu of delicacies?

I’m not talking about your ordinary screwballs, chocolate tacos and wudgie fudgie bars.

I mean shakes, full sundaes, freshly picked cones, or an option to create your own frozen creation with a ton of toppings.

What if I told you it’s not a fantasy?

Enter the screamer truck

What is the Scream Truck?

The Scream Truck according to their website is:

Your neighborhood, on dmeand ice cream truck

The way it works is you add your address to the list of available New Jersey routes, and the Scream Truck will text you whenever it’s in your neighborhood.

You can then respond to let the tuck know you’d like some ice cream.

To make it even more convenient, you can pre-order online and the screaming truck will pull up with your ice cream ready to go.

Where does the Scream Truck work?

For the most part, the Scream Truck has routes in North Jersey, but they are expanding so that something can be added closer to you in the future.

For a full list of routes, see their list.

What type of ice cream does the Scream Truck offer?

Their menu has everything from cones to shakes to sundaes, plus you can create your own creation with their toppings, drizzles, and mixers.

I might have to think about getting closer to one of their courses because it looks delicious.

The company also hosts private events, so you can scream for ice cream at your next party, meeting, or if you want to throw the coolest office party around.
