Earth Animal expands dog food line with catfish

SOUTHPORT, CONN. In March, Earth Animal expanded its WISDOM® dog food line from Dr. New Catfish WISDOM is formulated with Chesapeake Bay Catfish and premium ingredients to provide balanced nutrition.

The Chesapeake Bay catfish is a non-native invasive species that threatens the Chesapeake Bay area, and has also been recognized as the “Best Choice” in sustainable seafood by Seafood Watch. With sustainability primarily in mind, Earth Animal uses sustainably sourced Chesapeake Bay catfish from supplier NORPEL to help control the spread of invasive species.

New Catfish WISDOM Dog Food is formulated with marine algae to deliver a concentrated form of omega-3 fatty acids, helping to support healthy heart, joints, skin, coat and brain development in dogs. Food includes fermented Postbiotic TruMune™, a functional ingredient by Cargill’s Diamond V to support health and wellness. Postbiotics combines nutrition with both prebiotics and probiotics to help dogs maintain a healthy digestive system and intestines. Earth Animal plans to add TruMune postbiotics to its other products in the WISDOM line.

Catfish WISDOM is produced and air dried in a human grade SQF certified facility in the United States. The food also consists of fresh, organic fruits and vegetables and includes Dr.
