The annual Middlefield Care Center Benefit Auction will be held at Buster Miller Farm, 17719 Newcombe Road, Middlefield. The event includes food and bakery sale and live and silent auctions. Quilts sell out at 7pm Donations are needed and appreciated.

Family Health and Safety Day

Thompson Township continues its series of free summer concerts in the arena with country music from the Great Geauga Fair Band.

Fundraising food pantry withdrawal

Chardon VFW 6519 Auxiliary is running a lottery on a Geauga County veterans food pantry. Tickets are $5 each or six for $20. The prize is a $500 GetGo/Giant Eagle gift card. The winner will be drawn at 6:45 PM on September 8th in the mail.

Kiwanis Summer Party Series

August 10, 7-9 pm

The Kiwanis Club of West Geauga continues its summer concert series on the terrace of Chester Township Park with Mr. Haney, a stringed band that plays ancient Appalachian tunes.

Fundraising for Deem Women’s Gathering

August 12, 6-8 p.m.

The Goga County Women’s Democratic Caucus is hosting a wine and cheese fundraiser for Matt Kilboy, the candidate in the 14th Congressional District race.

Tickets cost $15 per person and include the first glass of wine. Beer and non-alcoholic drinks will be available.

The event will be held at Geauga’s Democratic headquarters, 12420 Kinsman Road, Newbury Township.

Chardon Provest

August 13, from noon to 5 pm

Chardon Brewfest returns to historic Chardon Square, where 25 breweries from Ohio and surrounding states will sample more than 50 beers. The event also features live music all day and five local food vendors.

Tickets $40 up front, or $45 per day of the event, and include 15 tastings and a tasting cup. The designated driver’s ticket includes a tasting cup and soft drinks.

DTJ Harvest Day

August 14, 11 a.m.

The DTJ Taborville’s 88th Annual Harvest Day Festival will take place in Taborville located on the corner of Bartholomew and Quinn Road in Auburn Township.

The show starts at 2 PM and Czech food will be served starting at 11 AM

Music will begin at 12:30pm and is scheduled to be performed by Sokol Greater Cleveland Orchestra, Anthony Kolkar and Frank Moravec Orchestra.

Czech beer will be available at the bar. T-shirts and other Czech items will also be sold.

There is a $5 donation at the gate for those over 12 years old. Bring chairs or blankets into the garden. No coolers or pets allowed.

Christian Woman Connection

Bainbridge Rocks

August 27, from noon to 10 pm

The Bainbridge Civic Club hosts the annual Bainbridge Rox Show at Centerville Mills Park, 8558 Crackel Road in Bainbridge Township. Admission and parking are free.

The event features live music, bull barbecue, kids entertainment area, food trucks, beer tent, mud volleyball tournament, Texas Hold’em Championship and an exhibit area for local craftsmen and businesses.
