Halloween events coming to a town near you

                Are you ready to dress up in your best Halloween costume and go out for some fun with the kids?  We have some events you might want to check out!  If we missed your Halloween event, let us know by sending an email to [email protected]  JACKSON: The Trunk or Tent Harvest Festival begins at 4 p.m. on Monday, October 31, in the VA Legion Softball Complex parking lot at 4500 Officer Thomas Catchings Sr.  Drive.  The Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the event, which will offer a variety of rewards from tents and decorative logs.  Admission is free and costumes are welcome Food vendors and live entertainment will be on site.  Patrons are required to bring two canned goods.  The Halloween Extravaganza takes place at the Mississippi Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.  “In addition to the usual array of farm-fresh foods and handcrafted items, shoppers will be treated to free popcorn and kids’ activities including trick-or-treating, face painting, vendor gifts, specialty food carts and a costume contest,” Ag management said in a press release.  The Pearl Street Trick or Treat begins at 6 p.m. Friday on Old Brandon Road in front of City Hall. Old Brandon between Bierdeman Road and Valentour Road will be closed to line the street with tents, booths, games, and inflatables. The Main Street Pearl-sponsored event is free.  Trick or Treat Street was originally scheduled for a Saturday, but was moved to a Friday due to the risk of rain.  The event will include a costume contest, food trucks, a non-scary movie, trunk or treat, face paint, and a gladiator duel.  Cost $10 per person Ages 2-18 The 2022 Brandon Fall Festival is taking place at the Brandon Amphitheater from 3pm-6pm Saturday.  The event, organized by the City of Brandon, will include hair races, donuts, inflatables, and a costume contest.  Clinton The Haunting of Olde Towne will take place at the Lion's Club in Clinton's garden from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.  Trick-or-treaters 16 years of age or younger may participate in a costume contest.  There will also be carnival games and bounce houses.  There will also be a lot of candy and games, as well as prizes.  The entrance to the event will be at the corner of East Street and East Lake Street.  East Leake Street will be closed to the railroad tracks beginning at 3 p.m. Thursday.  Howl-o-ween in Clinton State Park at 10 a.m. on Saturday.  The Clinton Parks and Recreation Department will host this event that is open to all humans and pets on leash.  Costumes for two-legged and four-legged guests are encouraged.  The costume competition will have four categories: small, medium, and large dogs, or the people/pet group, with prizes for the winners of each category, and both events are free.

Trick or treat street Started 6pm on a Friday on Old Brandon Road in front of City Hall.

The Canton Academy Harvest Festival he is from Thursdays from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Nancy Road, behind the school buildings.

Brandon

Olde Towne haunting At Lion’s Club Park in Clinton it will take place from 6pm to 8pm on Thursdays. Trick-or-treaters 16 years of age or younger may participate in a costume contest. There will also be carnival games and bounce houses. There will also be a lot of candy and games, as well as prizes.
