Kulach ShoppeTexas Czech Bakery, founded in 1970, has announced the opening of a location at 4521 Kingwood Drive, within the Main Street Kingwood multi-use shopping center. Kolache Shoppe owners Lucy and Randy Hines partnered with franchise owners and Heights residents Jordan Kristy Armendinger on the new store. The 1,200-square-foot bakery has a dog-friendly patio and pickup window. The menu will feature local ingredients like smoked brisket from Humble’s Tin Roof BBQ and coffee beans from Geva.

LawA sushi restaurant owned by Laurence Ho in Spring, plans to open a second location at Hughes Landing in The Woodlands, according to Howard Hughes Corp. The deal resulted in 100 percent lease of The Row Restaurant in Hughes Landing. Serving lunch and dinner, Blōōfin serves fish imported daily from Toyosu Market in Tokyo and other parts of the world, along with Japanese cocktails, whiskey, sake and handcrafted cocktails. Opening is scheduled for late spring 2023.

Downtown Dining Bungalow, a fine dining restaurant by ALife Hospitality Group, opened at 407 Main in downtown Houston. The venue offers a range of spaces over two levels, including an elegant main dining room, high energy bar, private dining area, and rooftop patio. The menu, developed by Chef Calvin Morgan, includes prime steak slathered in truffle butter, grilled redfish with crab butter, wagyu meatball pasta and apricot chicken.
Wild Foods ForkInc., a Florida specialty grocer selling premium meats and seafood with dozens of stores in the US, leased the 4,084-square-foot former Wells Fargo Bank building in San Felipe and South Fosse in the Memorial District from NewQuest Properties. As Kevin Sims and Nick Ramsey of NewQuest Properties the owner. Matt Reid of Shop Cos. represents the tenant. The opening is planned for the second quarter of 2023. The building is part of the Shoppes in San Felipe.

MMCG DBR Houston LCC has purchased a 0.9-acre site at 9835 Eagle Drive and Royal Palm Drive in Mont Belvieu as a Dutch Bros Coffee drive-thru shop. As the seller, Greg Shaw of Shaw Commercial Properties. Greg Slusky of Sluco Realty Services represented the buyer.

Beans and Bros Coffee HouseLtd., a coffee franchise company based in Utah, plans to enter the Texas market. Ashley and Thomas Perrin recently signed a 12-site development deal across Northwest Houston, Montgomery, and College Station. No schedule has been set for the openings.
