Houston’s Best Cookbook Writers Appear at The Heights Association Event

On Monday, July 11, join Houston Food Finder Associate Editor /edible houston editor David Liftwich and editor and publisher of the Houston Food Finder Phaedra Cook They host many local cookbook authors in Houston Heights Association July meeting! The event is open to the public, beginning at 6:30 p.m. and taking place at the historic Houston Heights Fire Station, located at 107 West 12. Admission is free and includes light refreshments.

The Houston Heights Association (HHA) is a civic 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes and promotes friendship, goodwill, and community spirit in and around Houston Heights.

Additionally, signed copies of “Paulie’s: Classic Italian Cooking in the Heart of Houston’s Montrose DistrictIt will be available on site from poly chef and owner, Paul Petronilla.

After the event, join us at gulab Starts at 8:30 pm and meets Alba Huertathe newest and first nationwide in Houston James Beard Award Winner. While you’re there, get a signed copy of her cocktail book,”Gulab, Southern Cocktails Recreated“. Julep is located in 1919 Washington.

Bonus: It’s too National Mojito Day. For this event, legendary restaurateur and wine connoisseur Pedro Garcia From hostel Makes paella starting at 7 p.m. (hopefully there will be some by 8:30 p.m., but note that this is “until supplies run out.”) Julep offers three different rustic take on the classic Cuban cocktail made with rum, lime, lemon mint, sugar, and soda. Each one comes from a different place and time.
