I get a huge discount on all Starbucks drinks and food with this nifty hack – you can do it too

A STARBUCKS employee has revealed how she gets a huge discount on her favorite drinks thanks to a nifty hack – and you can too.

Katie told TikTokers she cracked the coffee giant’s system in a short video that went viral.

She explained that by only working four hours at one Starbucks branch, she was able to keep her staff discount.

Social media users could hardly believe she could still get employee benefits despite having one “compulsory” shift a month.

The clip showed Katie putting on her uniform while mopping the counters, before heading to the back.

She joked, “When I come in to work my mandatory 4-hour monthly shift (to keep my employee discount) and someone orders a little drink.”

A “pinkety drinkety” is a Strawberry Acai, but instead of the usual water added to the drink, the barista will replace it with coconut milk.

The phrase was made popular when influencer James Charles referenced it during a video where he recreated the drink.

Aside from her frustrations with the term, Starbucks fans were more interested in Katie’s unorthodox employment status.

One wrote: “I thought you had to work a minimum of 12 hours a week?”

Another said: “Sorry, it’s mandatory ONE SHIFT A MONTH? I wouldn’t have put in my 2 weeks if I had known I could do it.”

And a third added: ‘How can I be in this one shift a month position?

The employee then explained, “It’s a Tarbucks! I’m on demand so I only have to work once every 4 to 6 weeks.”

Katie said her branch was located in a Target store, hence her nickname.

She went on to explain that she works “on demand,” meaning she takes extra shifts as needed.

Another former Starbucks employee applauded her for keeping her staff discount while admitting they also took advantage of it.

One said: ‘Me, I work out once a week and use my free drink and food every day to quit once this is over.’

Another commented, “I used to work at Starbucks and the discount stayed on my app forever.”

Starbucks offers a range of benefits to part-time and full-time employees, including health coverage and paid time off.

Staff can take advantage of a 30% discount on the purchase of beverages, merchandise and food.

They can also score a bargain with some of the chain’s affiliates – while receiving a free pound of coffee or can of tea every week.
