Lindt Vegan Chocolate Dessert Recipes That Will Make Bunnies Jealous

As a vegan or someone who cannot tolerate lactose, it can be difficult to find good desserts. It might seem like so many of life’s luxuries, like good chocolate, are out of bounds, but that’s no longer the case with Lindt – the Swiss chocolatier has released a new range of vegan chocolate and you can use it to make epic dessert at home.

To celebrate the release of their new line of vegan chocolates in Australia, the good folks at Lindt have passed on some homemade recipes for vegan chocolate mousse and vegan chocolate truffles to try for yourself.

Lindt Vegan Desserts

Easy chocolate mousse recipe

Recipe by Thomas Schnetzler – Master Chocolatier Lindt

What you will need:

  • 300g dairy-free thickened cream
  • 40ml water
  • 10g Glucose Syrup
  • 5g cocoa powder
  • 130g Lindt Classic Vegan Smooth Chocolate
  • Vegan chocolate cookies and chocolate decoration (for serving)

Lindt Vegan Chocolate Mousse Instructions:

  1. Combine dairy-free cream, water and glucose in a saucepan and bring to just below boiling point.
  2. Remove from the heat and stir in the cocoa powder and chocolate.
  3. Whisk to create a smooth mixture. An immersion blender would work just fine.
  4. Place the mixture in a mixing bowl.
  5. Cover with cling film directly on the surface and refrigerate for 5 hours or overnight.
  6. To serve, whip the mousse into a soft whipped cream like whipping cream.
  7. Half fill serving glasses and crumble a chocolate cookie and create a layer, then top with mousse.
  8. Decorate with topping or chocolate shavings.

Hot tip: It also works well with Lindt Excellence Extra Creamy Milk Chocolate and Thickened Cream.


Vegan chocolate truffle recipe

What you will need:

  • 75 ml oat milk
  • 1 teaspoon glucose
  • 200g Lindt Classic VEGAN Smooth Chocolate
  • 20g almond butter
  • Pinch of sea salt

To finish the truffles:

  • Chocolate shavings made from Lindt Classic VEGAN Smooth
  • chopped pistachios
  • Chopped roasted hazelnuts
  • Whole roasted hazelnuts
  • Cocoa powder

Directions for Lindt Vegan Truffles:

  1. Combine oat milk and glucose in a saucepan and bring to just below boiling point.
  2. Add the chocolate, almond butter and salt and using an immersion blender, create a smooth and shiny ganache.
  3. Cover with cling film and leave to rest at room temperature overnight.
  4. To finish the truffles, portion out walnut-sized truffles using a spoon or pastry bag, roll into truffle balls then coat by rolling in walnuts or cocoa powder. (The size of the truffles is up to you, but for an elegant bite, a generous teaspoon is recommended.)

Hot tip: For a good crunch, hide a whole roasted hazelnut in the center of a Truffle and coat it with crushed hazelnuts.
