Livingston County cafes offer holiday drinks

The party season has begun, and area baristas have a variety of new drinks to sip on while reading a book or finishing up some last-minute shopping.

While many cafes still serve pumpkin spice lattes, said Lorna Brennan, owner of the Uptown Coffeehouse in downtown Howell, her holiday drink menu is now fully available.

Among the seasonal coffee drinks available, customers can pick up a Peppermint Mocha or a Gingerbread Mocha in white or dark chocolate flavors.

“The peppermint mocha is super, super popular,” Brennan said.

Uptown Coffeehouse barista Eric Firestone says his favorite holiday drink is peppermint mocha. He said customers really like ordering holiday drinks.

“People are really getting into the season,” he said.

Other options include a gingerbread chai latte, a peppermint cream cold brew mocha, and a gingerbread or peppermint hot chocolate. Starting this weekend, they’ll also have an eggnog latte, which is Brennan’s favorite.
