Aggravated assault – rifle (suspect arrested)

8900 Block Sunset Blvd

08/29/2022 @0034. A man shot the victim once in the stomach during an argument that began after the suspect was told not to smoke inside the club. The suspect fled the area on foot and was arrested by the responding MPs. #05451

Home burglary (suspect arrested)

7600 block Norton Street

08/29/2022 @2109. A woman was inside her home when the suspect knocked on her window and asked for a cigarette. The owner of the house did not know the suspect and ordered him to leave. The suspect got angry and broke 14 windows on the victim’s French door and reached inside for his hand. The victim ran away from the house and the suspect was arrested by the responding MPs. #05470

08/29/2022 – 09/01/2022. An unknown suspect smashed the sliding bedroom door to enter and loot the interior. The suspect removed jewelry and paintings from the bedroom. # 05536

08/30/2022 @2115-0100. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed a backpack containing a laptop, tablet, two tubes and a book bag from the front seat. #05492

08/31/2022 @1007. A man pulled a piece of art from the wall and tried to leave the shop for free. An employee told the suspect to stop, throw the artwork on the ground, and flee the area on foot. The suspect was arrested by the responding MPs. #05501

08/31/2022 @ 1930-2130. An unidentified suspect cut the lock and removed a mountain bike from the bike rack. #05516

08/31/2022 @ 1930-0740. An unknown suspect smashed the front driver’s side window and removed the handicapped sign from the rearview mirror. # 05520

01/09/2022 @ 1740. A man and woman work at a concert to distract an employee and remove a Hermes Crocodile Birkin bag from behind the front desk. The bag contained a Chanel wallet, a Montblanc pen, and sunglasses. # 05534

01/09/2022 @1518. A man removed food and orange juice and tried to leave the shop without charge. An employee asked the suspect to return the items and threatened to shoot her. The suspect was arrested by the responding MPs. (Relevant to #05532). #05531

01/09/2022 @1506. A man took off a speaker, headphones and charger and tried to leave the store for free. As he walked out of the store, the suspect told an employee that he would shoot him in the face if he tried to stop him. The suspect was allowed to leave and arrested a short time later by the responding MPs. (Relevant #05531). # 05532

01/09/2022 @ 2300-0110. An unknown suspect smashed the windshield and rear passenger side window and removed a luggage bag containing clothes and shoes, a duffel bag containing four pairs of shoes and a wallet from the trunk. The suspect also removed a bag containing toiletries, a backpack containing a tablet computer, charging cable, and an apple pencil from the back seat. #05542

9000 block Dorrington Street

02/09/2022 @0450. A woman removed a window barrier to enter and the owner of the house found her inside the house. The suspect appeared drunk and was asked to leave, but she refused, throwing a cup of coffee on the floor and breaking a vase. The suspect was arrested by the responding MPs. # 05544

Aggravated assault – hands, fists and feet

8900 Block Sunset Blvd

03/09/2022 @ 0223. Two men punched and kicked the victim several times in the face and body during a fight that started on the sidewalk in front of the club. #05562

03/09/2022 @ 1200-1900. An unknown suspect removed a side window screen to gain access and looted the interior. The suspect removed a laptop, checkbook, car key and jewelry. #05573

03/09/2022 @ 1730-1800. An unknown suspect smashed the rear driver’s side window and tried to remove items from the trunk of the car, but was unsuccessful. # 05572

04/09/2022 @ 0520. A man was shot twice in the upper body during an argument. The victim refused to provide information about what happened. #05586
