Dave Pasch gave us the game’s greatest winning comeback call on Arizona Cardinals Radio.
When you think of Dave Pasch, you think of two things: calling Pac-12 basketball games with Bill Walton’s greatest human of all time and doing Arizona Cardinals over the radio.
In a game where Arizona had absolutely no success, the Cardinal did just that. Cliff Kingsbury defensive back Byron Murphy caused more damage on the football field than Ryan Gosling ever did with coach Herman Bohn in Alexandria, Virginia back in 1971. We didn’t have to Remember the giantsOnly when you see red do good things happen in the valley.
Bash had never been so excited before in his life, seeing Murphy running away from Silver and Black as he wished Bill Walton could…
Dave Bash paints a beautiful picture with his winning Cardinals voice
This was a season of high expectations for Cardinals. They did the NFC playoffs a year ago, but they looked like dog food versus the eventual Super Bowl champion and rival Los Angeles Rams on the Wild Card Tour. Keller Murray spread high in the sky in January of that year, but not today, Satan. He was glowing with his tiny ways in the middle. What a day to be 5ft 9!
You can hear the pure, pure joy emanating from the bash sound box. He was so authentic and transcendent that you could hear him behind the cacophony of Black Hole batteries hanging over the domes of the Cardinal’s helmets. Even if the Raiders lose heartbreakingly, just know that their owner Mark Davis is having a good time at the local PF Chang’s now.
In the end, you won’t see your favorite team win this way on the road in overtime. The Cardinals were a great example of the better part of this game, but they stole one of the conquistadors. No sacred cylinder, sea of hands, or ghost post would have saved them this time. This was the regular season equivalent of an Immaculate Reception. By the time I got to Arizona…
On a week two noon roster marked by sheer madness, the Cardinals brought the hype! Yes, boy!
